Keep Your Boat Afloat

Here’s a poem that came to me while listening to my husband defuse an angry client at work. The conversation started of bad but by the end of it the lady was thanking him and asking for his direct contact information. He has a way of not letting the emotions of others move him in a negative way. If he is moved at all, he’s moved into action to assist to make things better. Anyway….this is my observation;

Keep Your Boar Afloat

Imagine the world a sea and each of us ride in  boats filled with the weight of our own emotions

Every now and again it rains

Everyone gets wet but we are refreshed and have water to maintain

Sometimes it gets heavy and we scoop buckets of water out to stay afloat

Sometimes we throw our buckets out and fill others boats with water…not always on purpose

Sometimes we abandon ship to help others empty their boats before they sink…

But some don’t let any water in. They ride the waves and coast only staying close enough for others to witness how they rid their boats of rain…
